Information to PhD students wanting to enrol for a Doctorate with joint thesis supervision - Academic year 2010-2011
The procedure of joint thesis supervision is governed by the decree dated January 6th 2005 [PDF - 41 Ko] (modified by a decree dated August 7th 2006).
A decree dated August 7th 2006 [PDF - 133 Ko] governs Doctoral studies in France.
Joint thesis supervision allows the establishment and development of scientific cooperation between French and foreign research teams by encouraging PhD student mobility. Candidates who want to apply for the preparation of a Doctorate with joint thesis supervision will work under the control and responsibility of a dissertation advisor in each country.
