Brussels, 29-30 August 2000 Organised by the EU DG Research with the support of EU DG Environment and of the French Presidency (National Research Program on Climate Change - GICC) This website has been prepared by IEPE-Grenoble, in charge of the scientific co-ordination of the Technical Meeting The European Commission, DG Research, organised with the support of the French Presidency a workshop under the title "Climate Negotiations and Emission Trading; Economic Insight from European Models". The purpose of this meeting was to mobilise and disseminate existing evidence from economic and energy models developed at European and national level on the different aspects of future emission trading schemes at international and European level and to discuss the modelling results with stakeholders and policy makers. The results of the workshop will be presented to the relevant Working Groups of the European Climate Change Programme established by the Commission in the context of the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol.
